36 dresses have been added!
With this update you get traditional fashion from around the world (Japan, Korea, Ethiopia, Switzerland, Hawaii…), red carpet fashion, school uniforms and dresses inspired by famous movies, videogames or tv shows (Star Wars, Titanic, La La Land, Sha-Ra, Game of Thrones, Super Mario, Disney princesses,…).
This category is complete now. So all the dresses from the old SP-Studio are back – but in improved form and now you can recolor them. Some of them also support switching off the shading to make them look different. Give it a try. 🙂
I can only work slowly because of my health problems, but finally a new content update is online! 25 items have been added to the “special shirts” category.
This updates brings back more historical outfits, futuristic armor and fashion inspired by different cultures. You can recolor all of these items and combine them with any other outfits.
Though I still have to take care of myself my plan is to release updates of this scale whenever I can handle it. Thank you for your patience and kind comments during the last couple of weeks!
12 items have been added to the special shirts!
This category is for all the historical clothes, unique costumes and regional outfits. Unfortunately I am very busy with work right now and so I have little time for the SP-Studio. Work comes first, even though I’d love to work on the SP-Studio full time. This is why this update is a bit smaller than the last ones. But I will continue to upload an update every Sunday until all the old items are back! It will take as long as it needs.
In other news: A new SP-STUDIO PICTURE CONTEST has started! Join it until February 20th. The topic of the month is “billionaires”.
The SP-Studio got some new historical items! All of these originated in the Twitch livestreams I did during the last two weeks. Thanks to the chat for the feedback and ideas!
- a background with greek columns
- musketeer costume (a fitting red hat was already there)
- wig in Marie Antoinette style
- Thracian gladiator helmet
- single pencil mustache
- crakows as new shoes
- Two pharao insignia
To celebrate the end of an eventful year let’s have 24 days of SP-Studio updates in a row! The 11th annual Christmas Special has started with new clothes, body parts, background and other items. You don’t want to miss anything? I will write about it on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and update this blog post daily. The first update is a big one: Six new mouths for the face expressions of your characters!
As always I am happy about feedback. It’s your comments that mean a lot to me and this time of the year everybody can wish for an update. So don’t be shy – write about which recent updates you like and what you’d like to see in the future! You can make concrete wishes or just suggest which category I should visit again.
The old Christmas Specials can be found here: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017.
Christmas time is present time! In the 8th year in a row I will surprise you with a fresh SP-Studio update every day until December 24th. And YOU can suggest what you would like to see. Write your requests in the comments and they might be included. I will update this post and the front page with the Advent Calendar every day, so keep an eye on it. Or you can follow SP-Studio.de on Facebook, Google+ or Twitter if you don’t want to miss anything.

The first new item for this year’s Christmas Special is a dress inspired by traditional Swiss fashion, as wished by my good friend Johanna. Initially I wanted to do another update about fashion from around the world, but decided to combine it with the Advent Calendar instead. I hope you like it and all the other things which are about to come next :).
The next “traditional costumes from around the world” are finished! This time I drew some of your suggestions. But you can still write more wishes in the comments.
A third update will be online this month. And in December you can look forward to the HUGE annual SP-Studio Christmas Special! If you have any requests for this, feel free to add them to the comments as well.
Today these new clothes were added to the SP-Studio:
- Habesha kemis (Ethiopia)
- Changshan (China)
- Barong Tagalog (Philippines)
- Muumuu (Hawaii)
This is the start of a couple of small updates about “traditional costumes from around the world”. This topic was picked in a poll by my 5$+ Patrons. I decided to split the update into smaller ones, so you can still suggest iconic clothes for the next updates in the comments below.
Today four new clothes were added to the SP-Studio:
- traje de flamenca (from Spain)
- gho (from Bhutan)
- kasaya (robe of Buddhist monks)
- hanbok (from Korea)
18 additional flags were added to the category “stuff – shirt motifs”!
Many SP-Studio users have asked me for more flags as shirt motifs, so here you go. Some of them were requested, some of them I picked because I know many SP-Studio users come from these countries. Please don’t be sad if your country is not included yet. You can suggest it in the comments for future flag updates.
The new flags belong to:
India, China, South Korea, North Korea, Ukraine, Indonesia, Colombia, Peru, Thailand, Israel, Greece, Egypt, South Africa, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, Scotland, European Union
I got a new mouse after my old one was broken, so it’s update time again! Finally I was able to finish this mixed update with wishes from SP-Studio fans:
- sword on the back (contest wish)
- Fullmetal Alchemist uniform (contest wish)
- red curtains as a new foreground
- native American feathered headdress
If you want to win the chance to have your wish included in the SP-Studio join the monthy picture contests. The current topic is LITERATURE and you can submit your picture until April 20th. The winner is chosen by vote. You can join the contest here, and here you can read more about how it works.
