Happy 10th anniversary, STARDEW VALLEY!

As a tribute to one of my favorite video games of all time, I’ve drawn nine new hairstyles for today’s SP-Studio update, inspired by characters from Stardew Valley (by Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone). I picked Leah, Shane, Maru, Sebastian, Sam, Abigail, Emily, Penny and Pierre. Of course you can recolor everything – and as a bonus Abigail and Sam’s hairstyles come with multicolor options. I couldn’t include every fan favorite, but I tried to choose interesting hairstyles that are practical additions for everybody and not just for those who have played the game.

14 FAMOUS COSTUMES for the “special shirts” category!

This is the first content update after I had to take a long break (as explained here). But this is not the only reason why I named it the “I’m back!” update. To help me get back into it, I’ve chosen some old drawings of mine that date back to the Flash version of the SP-Studio. They have been completely reworked to make them fit the new SP-Studio and to support recoloring. So you can not only dress up as famous characters, but also customize the clothes for your own characters.

The costumes were inspired by Game of Thrones, Guardians of the Galaxy, Disney’s Gummi Bears, Mulan, DuckTales, Halo, Doom, Metal Gear Solid and Metroid.

Christmas Special 2021

Every day from December 1st to December 24th a new surprise update is waiting for you! Last year I took a break because of the relaunch, but now the beloved annual Christmas Specials are back. For 24 days I will draw all kinds of new backgrounds, clothes and other objects to give you more possibilities to build your pictures. The old Christmas Specials can be found here.

And the best part is: YOU can request new items for these updates! Upload them to the Wish Voting gallery and if I like them they will appear there. Then everybody can discuss them. Popular ideas have a high chance to appear in the Christmas Special. But I will also include surprises from older requests which are not in the gallery.

I hope you enjoy the updates! Of course I am happy about feedback, so tell me about your favourites. 🙂

Update: More costumes

27 SP-Studio items have been added to the “special costumes” category!

This big update brings back many beloved costumes from the old SP-Studio in improved form: Fantasy outfits, superheroes, Halloween costumes, fake muscles, swimwear,… I used more shadows and highlights on some of them, but you can turn them off if you prefer the flat look. Of course you can also change the colors for everything. Three completely new costumes have been added as well. Black is beautiful, so I hope you like the dark outfits inspired by Black Panther, Darth Vader (Star Wars) and Yennefer (The Witcher). With Darth Vader and Black Panther I wanted to finally provide fitting shirts for the existing masks and Yennefer was chosen in a poll by my Patreon supporters.

56 items have been added to the “objects / toys & sports” category!

Most items from the old SP-Studio are back in improved form, inlcuding many sport items and videogame consoles. As a special bonus you get two completely new items: A pile of board games and a LEGO brick! These were wishes by my Patreon supporters.

With this update every category is filled with the most important items. I will stop doing the Sunday updates now and instead bring back the rest whenever I am finished. It’s been some busy weeks with a lot of pressure, but I am very happy with how the new SP-Studio turned out now that most items are back. 🙂 And of course I hope you enjoy it as well. See you soon!

Update: Video Game Consoles

Current gen consoles and some retro extras (as voted for by my 5$+ Patrons) have found their way into the SP-Studio! You can add them to your picture by visiting the stuff / toys & sports category. This is new:

Christmas Special 2016

It’s time for the annual SP-Studio Advent Calendar with daily updates! From December 1 until December 24 I will surprise you with new SP-Studio items. This blog post and the front page will be updatet every day and I will keep you informed on Facebook and Twitter as well.

The old Christmas Specials can be found here: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015.

Do you have a wish? You can request items in the blog comments or on Facebook and they might appear in one of the updates. I hope you enjoy the 24 surprises! The first one is a classic diving helmet.

Super Mario tribute

After the Disney Princesses and Star Wars these are the final costumes in a row of pop culture inspired SP-Studio updates. When it comes to iconic video game characters nobody can compete with Super Mario. So I drew this tribute to Mario and Luigi. My Patrons voted for the Nintendo characters they wanted to see. And check out the Princess Peach dress and hair as well, which was already included a while back.
The new items are:

Mario’s and Luigi’s hats
Luigi’s beard (Mario’s was already included)
overall in custom colors
a new nose in custom colors

I fixed some bugs as well: The U.S. flag works again and some noses were moved.

SP-Studio Christmas Special 2014

The big SP-Studio Christmas Special has started! This means updates every day until Christmas, and like every SP-Studio update I give you all of this for free. Those new clothes, body parts, backgrounds and accessories will be based on the wishes of my visitors. Write your requests in the comments and maybe they will be included. The first new item is a baking sheet full of Christmas cookies. I will update this post with the Advent Calendar every day, so keep an eye on it. Update: Devil May Cry

This is the final video game costume for a while. You voted for Dante from Devil May Cry, and so I included his hair-style and clothes. I picked this version because it seems to be the best known und unique one. Sorry if you prefer the new Dante, but I had to choose one ;).
So what’s next?
I am working on a mixed update with all kind of stuff, so feel free to make suggestions. Ideas which are useful for many of my visitors are welcome. Trendy hair-styles and clothes, items for popular sports and other hobbys, background images you miss a lot… but no too special things and costumes this time. I will use the Wish Voting Gallery for inspiration as well. You can vote and comment on ideas there.
