South Park Update: Clothes

South Park costumesAs an addition to the last update I included some costumes inspired by South Park. This is the final South Park related update, because now I want to focus on more original drawings again. I looked through many clothes to find interesting ones and hope the ones I selected are useful for different purposes:

  • Barbarian costume with fitting helmet from “The Stick of Truth”
  • Craig’s cloak and scarf from “Black Friday” (custom colors)
  • Princess Kenny’s dress (Zelda)
  • Estella’s dress
  • Bradley’s shirt
  • Cartman’s “Freak strike” outfit

South Park character update: hairstyles

South Park update: hair

South Park character update: hairstylesBack to the roots. As you might have guessed already I use the name “SP-Studio” because I draw in the art style of the tv show South Park. In the beginning I copied original clothes and hairstyles from South Park, but I soon prefered more original content. It is kind of boring to just copy something and it feels better to be creative. That is why I did not draw South Park related updates in quite some time. Until now…
Because many fans requested South Park related items I decided to do two big updates to celebrate the show. This is the first one with 16 new hairstyles. That’s a lot of hair! They are based on South Park characters like Craig, Kevin, Nichole, Mr. Mackey, Terrance, Kip Drordy and Scott Malkinson. I chose hairstyles which look useful and are not too similar to existing ones, so I hope you like this collection. The second South Park update will be about costumes and you can make suggestions in the comments. Stick of Truth will be part of this for sure.

SP-Studio Christmas Special 2014

The big SP-Studio Christmas Special has started! This means updates every day until Christmas, and like every SP-Studio update I give you all of this for free. Those new clothes, body parts, backgrounds and accessories will be based on the wishes of my visitors. Write your requests in the comments and maybe they will be included. The first new item is a baking sheet full of Christmas cookies. I will update this post with the Advent Calendar every day, so keep an eye on it. The old Christmas Specials can be found here: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!I’ve got a little halloween update for you: a huuuge mouth full of sharp teeth!
It was supposed to be a shark mouth, but I guess it looks more like a random monster mouth… well, at least it is scary ;). This will be useful for everybody who wants to create a fitting halloween avatar or greeting card with the SP-Studio. If you need more inspiration have a look at this SP-Studio gallery. You can still rate and comment those picture for the halloween contest, which will end tonight.
Have a fun evening, collect some candy and watch good horror movies!

South Park style animals

Animal month: Forest Animals

South Park animalsFor the third animal related update I included parts of some local forest animals. Most of them were wishes by SP-Studio fans:

  • mouse ears
  • mouse tail
  • squirrel tail
  • bird beak (also good for dragons)
  • belly shape, useful for different animals
  • the old wings have custom colors now as well

Animal month: Safari!

South Park animalsThe second “animal month” SP-Studio update includes 8 new body parts inspired by African animals. You can use them to create zebras, cheetahs, elephants… but they are useful for other animal characters as well, like tigers or walruses. Those are the new items:

  • stripes & points for the skin
  • paws as hands
  • trunk as a nose
  • cat mouth & elephant mouth with tusks
  • cat ears & elephant ears

Which animal parts do you want to see in the upcoming updates for this month?

My Little Pony invasion

MLP:FIM goes South ParkI want to dedicate a whole month of SP-Studio updates to animals, so let’s start with a very popular species: The pony! I included 11 new items inspired by the cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, developed by Lauren Faust.

  • Hooves as hands, a pony nose, a unicorn horn, wings and pony ears.
  • 2 tails and 4 hairstyles inspired by main characters of the show.

And as a special bonus: A wallpaper!
I hope this little tribute is a nice addition for all bronies out there and will be useful for other types of animal characters as well. I designed the hair so you can even use it for human characters. You might wonder why there are no unique details like the cutie marks or colorful highlights in the hair. This is because I did not want to just copy one existing pony but rather find interesting parts for creative use. Special thanks to Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie Pie who posed as models :).

SP-Studio Website Update

New website design

SP-Studio Website UpdateWelcome to the newly designed SP-Studio website! I wanted it to look a little bit more appealing and improved some technical things. The SP-Studio itself did not change much, but a new content update about a famous tv show will come next week. I hope you like how everything turned out. The most important changes are:

  • The overall look of this website became more playful and inviting. Now you actually see SP-Studio characters when you open the site.
  • A responsive layout, so the website looks better on big screens now.
  • A “news slider” on the front page so you won’t miss any updates.
  • The front page should be less chaotic now.
  • On the bottom of the blog are a search field, archives and a tags cloud to make it easier to find old posts.
  • The blog looks nicer with fitting images for every post.
  • You can use Gravatars now when you comment.

Construction works

Under ConstructionThe SP-Studio will go offline tomorrow (September 18th) for a couple of hours. The reason for this is that I have been working on a new design for the last weeks and now I want to make it public. I will try to get the whole website back working as fast as possible, but things like this usually take some time. While I work on this update you can still visit the SP-Studio community.
Congratulations to Lefiou for winning the SP-Studio contest about famous robots! Check out the pictures in the gallery, there were a lot of good ones this time. And join the current SP-Studio contest about SCHOOL until Spetember 20th. This is a free topic, so your picture can be about anything related to school or university.
