Flamethrower guy

Three new items

Flamethrower guyA mixed update is online with two contest wishes and one idea by a fan that I really liked (the hat). I hope to find the time for another update next week. New items: a flamethrower, a military jacket (as worn by Jimi Hendrix) and a propeller hat.

And don’t forget to join the current SP-Studio contest about ROBOTS until tomorrow evening. Register a nickname, upload your SP-Studio picture and maybe you win a free wish for an update of your choice.

South Park Snow White

Snow White costume

South Park Snow WhiteYour SP-Studio character wants to feel like a classic Disney Princess? No problem!
Today I included the costume of Snow White, inspired by Walt Disney’s famous animated movie “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” from the year 1937. I am sure the new items will be useful for many characters, because you can use most of them in different colors:

  • a new dress
  • a bow
  • a classic short hairstyle
  • smiling lips
SP-Studio background patterns

Background patterns

SP-Studio background patternsWe have more background colors now! And I started to include background patterns. I hope they will be useful for you if you don’t want to use one of the detailed sceneries. If you want more patterns like this, just tell me about your wishes in the comments.
The new SP-Studio picture contest has started as well, so join it until July 20th :). This month the topic is VACATIONS. Congratulations to the winners of the last contest!

New hairstyles for your South Park characters

Four new hairstyles

New hairstyles for your South Park charactersHere are some new haircuts for your characters:

  • A nicely braided updo
  • Wild, curly hair inspired by Merida from Disney’s Brave
  • Single pieces of hair insipired by Gollum from The Lord of the Rings
  • A short haircut inspired by Matthew Bellamy from Muse

SP-Studio character contestThe last hairstyle was a wish by contest winner Jareen2. Speaking of contests: Don’t forget to upload your album cover until June 20th! This month our contest is about recreating a famous piece of album art by only using the SP-Studio.

Anime eyes for your avatar

New eyes with custom colors

Anime eyes for your avatarFrom now on you can choose your own eye colors. I changed two of the most popular eye shapes, so you are able to select whatever color you like for the iris and background. This can help you to create an avatar that looks more like you or to build colorful monsters :).
And there is a completly new eye shape as well, which can also be colored however you like it: Manga eyes! Foy many years this has been requested by SP-Studio fans, and I never wanted to include it because I think they do not fit with the drawing style. But after South Park introduced Princess Kenny in anime sequences I gave it another try and I guess it might look kind of funny.

Mixed SP-Studio update

Feathers and curtains

Mixed SP-Studio updateI got a new mouse after my old one was broken, so it’s update time again! Finally I was able to finish this mixed update with wishes from SP-Studio fans:

  • sword on the back (contest wish)
  • Fullmetal Alchemist uniform (contest wish)
  • red curtains as a new foreground
  • native American feathered headdress

contestIf you want to win the chance to have your wish included in the SP-Studio join the monthy picture contests. The current topic is LITERATURE and you can submit your picture until April 20th. The winner is chosen by vote. You can join the contest here, and here you can read more about how it works.

More "stuff" categories

SP-Studio UpdateI re-sorted the “stuff” category, because it got really chaotic. There are 3 new sub-categories now: food, toys and foregrounds. The make-up and extra body parts were merged into one and the tools and weapons as well. I think this helps a lot to find faster what you are looking for.
As an additional new feature I included buttons to switch directly between the sub-categories. They can be found in the “hair” and “shirt” categories as well.
There are no new items in this update, but don’t worry – the next one will come soon.
EDIT: Sorry, it will take a little longer until the next update will be online. A bunch of unexpected work and a broken mouse :(. But I want to finish it around April 1st. No joke ;).

Doctor Who costumes

Doctor Who costumes

Doctor Who costumesA new update is online, inspired by BBC’s DOCTOR WHO!
After drawing Sherlock I wanted to do something related to another popular British tv show. Many fans asked me for a Doctor Who costume, but it was difficult to pick a doctor. Everybody seems to have another favorite. So I decided to do all the three “new” doctors in one update. Three hairstyles and two suits were added and I hope everybody is happy with this :).

  • 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston)
  • 10th Doctor (David Tennant)
  • 11th Doctor (Matt Smith)

Sherlock Holmes costume

Sherlock costume

Sherlock Holmes costumeWhat’s the best thing that happened this year so far?
New episodes of BBC’s SHERLOCK!
I felt like Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes was a good inspiration for a SP-Studio update. Not only because he is very popular, but also because you can use those items to build other characters as well. So I hope you like the five new parts, even if you are no fan of the show.

  • mouth
  • dark coat
  • scarf (custom colors)
  • eyebrows (custom colors)
  • short, wavy hairstyle (custom colors)
