You guys seem to get better and better with each contest, thanks for the many cool pictures! Now the members of the SP-Studio community (you can register for free here) can vote till the end of this month. This year’s Christmas Special has started! Each day until Christmas I will draw one new SP-Studio item. They are based on your wishes so write your requests in the comments or use the Wish Voting area in the SP-Studio Community. But please rerember the few things I cannot include (read about them here). I hope you enjoy the surprises. Let’s have a look at the Advent Calendar which will be updatet every day. The first new item is already there: a nice hat for cold winter days.
The December contest has started in the SP-Studio Community. RULES.
It’s December, so your task for this month is to create a Christmas card with the SP-Studio. Classic, funny, strange… there are no limitations as long as it has something to do with the season. Register a nickname in the Community and upload your picture to the contest album till December 15th. Voting starts one day later and the winners will be announced on December 31st. CONGRATULATIONS! This was fun, I am glad you picked so many different cartoons of your childhood. You created a great collection of characters, but only five of you could win. They have earned themselves their place in the Hall of Fame and their own galleries in the SP-Studio Community. And of course Nepathian will get his first prize: He can make a wish for a new object in the SP-Studio. The old contest pictures will stay online here, a new one starts in a couple of hours.
Every month a contest is held in the SP-Studio and the winner gets his own gallery to present his pictures. But that’s just a part of his prize. He can also make a wish for a new SP-Studio item! “Stiftnuersel” got the best ratings in October for his Halloween pictures and hi asked me to draw a sausage. So you can find this new object now in the SP-Studio. Let’s see what the next winner will request. Voting for the current contest ends on November 30th.
And there is another quick update: The help text is now available in Dutch. Thanks a lot to Nepathian for this translation! Missing languages are always welcome.
Before I say anything else I want to congratulate all participants, because the submissions for this contest really surprised me. GREAT WORK! The topic was to create look-a-likes of cartoon heroes of your childhood, and you can see many different characters in the contest album now. Check them out! I am glad I don’t have to choose the winners, it’s up to you to decide who is the most creative one.
But there is a small change from the last contest, because I am still testing. Now only registered members of the SP-Studio community can rate pictures. This is to avoid cheating and “hey friends, vote for me!!!” requests. So if you vote, remember to play fair. And don’t worry, you just need a nickname and e-mail adress ro register here.
Enjoy the cool pictures, voting ends on November 30th. A new contest will start on December 1st. And here are some good news: Additionaly there will be a big Christmas Special (like in 2008 and 2009)! I will draw 24 of your wishes for SP-Studio items. This time your task is to create a SP-Studio look-a-like of a cartoon hero from your childhood. Darkwing Duck, Sailor Moon, the Flintstones… We all watched shows like that on TV, didn’t we? So I hope there will be many different characters when the voting starts on November 16th. Until then you can send in your picture, but don’t forget you have to register your nickname in the SP-Studio Community first.

I hope you like this mixed update and there is something for everybody. As you might have noticed some of the new objects were chosen because they were suggested in the community wish voting and got good reatings. So if you have a request – post it there and maybe you’re lucky as well! The wished which are included were moved to the archives now and the votes are reset. Let’s see what will be chosen for the next update.
Nearly 100 cool pictures were sent in for the first SP-Studio contest and now you can vote for the most creative one! I am glad so many participated in this. It’s no easy choice, who should win? Everybody can watch, vote and comment the pictures now in the SP-Studio community, even guests. So have a look around and hand out some stars till the end of this month. The winner can make a free wish for a SP-Studio item of his choice and the best 5 get their own galleries.
This is the first contest, so I am very curious how it will end. Feel free to write some feedback in the comments! 🙂 There could still be changes to the rules if something doesn’t work well, for example I am not sure if I should make a preselection if more than 100 pictures are submitted.

I will draw some of the best rated Wish Voting ideas, so you still have some time left to make your suggestions overe there or to discuss existing ones. Remember I don’t draw all of the best rated ideas, it is still a surprise. Currently the most popular wishes are piercings, boxing gloves, spiked dog collars, flannel shirts and chinpokomons.
