Update: The pets arrived

Now have a look at the SP-Studio, click on “stuff” and you will find a new category there: animals! Cats and dogs are the most common pets, so I drew them in different colors and patterns to make it easier for you to recreate your own pets. Of course you can move every single one of them to the place you like by clicking on them and using the little menu which appears. It works the same way like with the others items.
When I created the new category for the animals I added another one: “fashion accessories”. There are no new items in it, I just wanted to organize the whole stuff in a better way.

Pets are coming

Here’s a little update on what I’m working on right now: There will be pets in the SP-Studio! I’m trying to focus on one special update every month, and this time it will be about our four-legged, feathered and flaky friends. Many of you have asked for something like that in the past. At the moment I’m still drawing, and I try to finish this update till the first days of march. So keep checking back :). You can use the comments to tell me about your wishes for certain animal species you want to place next to your South Park character (just no dog breeds please, that’s too special).
Update: It will take a few days longer than excepted, because I want to include more of your wishes from the comments. The animals will arive on March 15th!

Update: Hairy

As promised there will be more SP-Studio updates. This month I drew a lot of hair, because I didn’t add any new hair styles for the Christmas Special. Now you can find 27 new ones in the SP-Studio, of course in 60 different colors. Some of them are based on my own ideas, some inspired by your wishes. To keep everything well arranged I parted the hair category in two: short and long hair. There are more than 100 different hair styles now, so this should help you to find a fitting hair style sooner than before. The new additions are marked with a white star. I hope you like this hairy collection and everybody can find recreate his look now!

I installed a blog software for the SP-Studio news today. So from now on it’s easier for me to inform you about updates, you can use RSS feeds and write comments. I’m not sure if it works, because I get over 50.000 visitors per day on this website and so it might end in chaos to let everybody write comments without moderation – but I decided to give it a try :). If it’s too chaotic I can restrict it later.
Like the rest of the SP-Studio homepage the news are bilingual too. You can switch to the German version by clicking on the flag up there in the main menu. I added some older updates as well, but that’s just like an archive and so you cannot comment them.
Well, I hope you enjoy this new web 2.0 atmosphere around here ;). And here’s an exclusive little announcement for you: Tomorrow there will be a SP-Studio update! So check it out, there will be a lot of new parts for one category, and I’m sure they will be very useful.

Today the Christmas Special was finished with the last big surprise: three gaming consoles, which you can use from now on for your characters. Here in Germany we celebrate Christmas on December 24th, so the Advent Calendars end at that date. I hope you enjoyed this Special and the new items which were added over the past weeks.

SP-Studio Christmas Special 2008

The first big SP-Studio Christmas Special starts today!
I will draw one new item every day till Christmas, and you can send me your wishes. The first new part is a classic Christmas scene as a background. Many wished for that and I think it’s a good way to help you design your own Christmas cards. But what will be next…? Have fun with the 24 updates and keep checking back for what surprises the next days will bring!
By the way, I was overwhelmed by the number of e-mails I got. More than 2.000 wishes were sent in until now for this Christmas Special, and yes, I read every single one of them. It’s very hard to choose 24 items to draw, so please do not be sad if your request isn’t picked. I have already decided to work on special themed updates in January to add more of your great ideas. So keep on wishing :). By the way: I have fixed some small errors as well (layer problems with the masks, bracelets, ties and text tool).

I worked on this update for several months, because I had to redo the whole game. Why? Because I included a save button! 🙂 Many people wanted to be able to save their pictures without making a screenshot, and here you go. But there is more: over 50 new parts, including tattoos and new clothes. There are more colors to choose from, 60 instead of 36. The “body”, “hands” and “stuff” categories are sorted different, the text tool was redone and there were many small improvements on the usability. And finaly I managed to give this website some kind of design too, it was pretty ugly.

Update: Halloween costumes

It’s Halloween time, and so I decided to draw some costumes for the SP-Studio. You can find 45 new items, and I hope you like them :). No matter if you want to be a scary vampire, a cute little bee, a crocodile or a princess, everything is possible.

Big update with more than 250 new items!

Version 2.1 is finaly finished!
During the last couple of months I drew many new items, so here is a big update for you. I included a lot of stuff which was requested in your e-mails. And so there are more than 250 new clothes, hair-styles, shirt-motives and other items now to help you create your characters. Click on the preview picture to see a larger version that shows some of the new things. I’ll keep on updating the SP-Studio so it stays the biggest online tool of its kind.
