Wish Voting Weeks: Choose new items!

I’ve got new SP-Studio stuff for you! This time there is no special topic and no limitation to a certain category. In the upcoming weeks there will be several updates with all kind of items. What do they have in common? They are all based on wish voting wishes of my visitors. YOU can make suggestions and vote for what you want to see in the SP-Studio.
If you already are a member of the SP-Studio community, you know how “Wish voting” works. But let’s describe it for the newbies: Click on “community” and register a nickname. Don’t worry, it’s for free of course. Then you can suggest new items for the SP-Studio by uploading pictures of clothes, hair styles or whatever you think would be useful. The other members rate your wish (1-5 stars) and can write comments. Please use the search before you upload something, because there might be a similar wish already. I will choose some of the best rated wishes and edit this entry whenever I add new things to the SP-Studio. Of course they will be announced on the front page of sp-studio.de too, so you won’t miss anything. If you want to know first if new objects are online follow me on Twitter or Facebook.

Big Community update

After 3 days of being busy I am finished with all the updates I wanted to include.
The SP-Studio community is back! No beta anymore :). Those are the main changes:

  • Sub-menu! Direct access to new comments / pictures, top rated wishes, your favs and the search.
  • Private Messages! Now members can write PMs. Just click on the “PN” button next to a nickname.
  • Who is online? On bottom of the main page there are statistics now. You can see who is online.
  • Favorites! This feature is now easier to use. Use the star button on top of a picture to “fav” it.
  • Report files! Use the “report” button next to a picture if something is wrong with it.
  • File replacement! Now we can replace pictures with updatet versions, comments & ratings stay.
  • Social Sharing! Pictures can be easily shared at Facebook and Twitter now.
  • BB-Code Buttons! They help you to add URLs, bold text or other things to your comments.
  • And more… The albums are sorted in a different way now, so the user galleries are on top. I cleaned up the wish voting area, deleted eome declined and not so intersting wishes. There are several small changes made to the design. When you click on an image now the name of the upload is shown too. You can look for uploads from certain dates now. I made new pictures for the wish voting area and wrote a help text about how the SP-Studio community works.

I made some minor changes to the main menu of this website too, because some people didn’t know what “home” and “F.A.Q.” mean.
Please refresh the main page of the Community! Otherwise it might not load correctly.

Hollywood Weeks: More Movie Outfits

SP-Studio Hollywood Weeks
The final “Hollywood Weeks” update is online! I drew 17 new items, inspired by 9 famous movies:

The Mask: hat with optional feather
Star Trek: shirt symbol and hands

Titanic: Rose’s dress and necklace
…and an Oscar to hold in your hand and pretend to be a famous superstar 🙂
Many of those items have mutiple colors and I hope they are useful for you. I picked things which can be used in many ways (that’s why there is no Darth Vader mask, it would be boring ;)). Most of them are based on your wishes.
So that’s it – the SP-Studio Hollywood Weeks are over! 50 new items. Now I will take a little break. But if you still need more movie stuff join the SP-Studio community. Voting for the current contest “Sci-Fi movies” starts tonight.

The last “Hollywood Weeks” update will be online this week. Just in case you were wondering about why more time has passed since the last update. I wanted to upload it earlier, but I had to work more than expected and didn’t find the free time to draw SP-Studio items. I am sorry for this, but will give you your final update as soon as possible. And it will be bigger then the last ones, so you can look forward to it! 🙂

New contest: Sci-Fi movies

ContestYeah, 6 months SP-Studio community! What started as an experiment is still running and I am surprised about the big amount of great pictures my visitors upload there. So it will stay and I plan to improve it a bit after the Hollywood weeks are finished. No more “beta” ;). Unfortunately I am very limited on the things I can do, because I cannot code, but I have some things in mind I want to try. Thanks to everybody who is active in the community and shares his pictures and feedback! If you are not a member yet, have a look. It’s fun :).
The new month starts with a new SP-Studio contest. Join the community and submit your picture about a Science Fiction movie of your choice. That’s the current topic, you can pick any Sci-Fi movie you want. You have time to submit it till April 15th, read all about the rules and rewards here.
And CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of our last contest:

Dan wins a free wish for a SP-Studio item and hew wants a bass guitar. I will inlcude it as soon as possible. And I am sure this is something many have been waiting for, because I was asked for this very often. The winners have been added to the Hall of Fame and of course all pictures will stay online in the SP-Studio community (updated link).

Hollywood Weeks: Disney Dress-Up

SP-Studio Hollywood Weeks
Disney’s animated movies are special, especially the old classics. So I decided to focus this movie related update on some of their famous characters. I picked Belle, Merlin, Tinkerbell, Ariel and Pocahontas, because parts of them could be intersting additions to the SP-Studio. This time it’s not only clothes – there are even tattoos, jewelry, beards and fairy wings, 13 new items!. You can see all of them in the picture below and they are marked with a star in the SP-Studio.

Those characters are from the Disney movies The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, Peter Pan, The Sword in the Stone and The Beauty and the Beast. My reference pictures. Copyrights for them belong to Disney, I just do fan art.
