I don't like the pressure of being a judge, because I am really bad at making decisions... especially when it's about good artworks. But if you want I can at least try to. I did not look at your grinch yet so I can judge them without knowing who made them.

Well, mainly it should be about what's fun to you. There's no right or wrong when it comes to creative stuff.

Is there something you yourself still miss in your pictures?

There are limitation to what you can do whithin SP-Studio.

You could experiment with changing the position of your characters, but it's a bit difficult to make all the elements match. Then you could use the pupils that face sidewards or up and down to make it look like the character reacts to an animal or object.

If you have an image editing software, you could create characters and backgrounds independently and then combine them more freely. Maybe you can even achieve this in Powerpoint or a similar software.
