I canceled the livestream last week and delayed the next content update because my grandfather is very ill. I helped my family and hoped he would be better by this week, but unfortunately it gets worse every day. He is 95 years old, so he might not recover from this. For this reason I want to take a little break to have time for him. My mind is in a different place right now. I am sorry for the delay of the update, which is nearly finished - but I hope you understand.

Short break

Thank you, Eggy. Unfortunately my Grandpa passed away four days ago...
From all the members of my family we were the closest. All of my friends liked him as well. He was very interested in literature, art and history and introduced me to a lot of artists and books. He had a fine sense of humour. It always was a pleasure to talk to him because he was still interested in anything going on in the world at his old age. Most importantly he always encouraged me to do what I want to do, and this support meant a lot to me.
While I am very sad because he is gone now, it gives me comfort to know that his death was exactly what he wanted it to be. It was his biggest fear to lose his independence and become a nursing case. During the past two weeks he became wearker. But even on his last day he was able to get up, dress, sit in his favorite chair and do his favorite crossword. My mother was with him in the afternoon, chatting with him and suddenly he closed his eyes and fell asleep. It was the painless death among your loved ones most people wish for, and I am glad for him that it happened this way.
At first I felt bad for not being able to say goodbye in person, but I sent him a long letter a couple of days ago. It was not supposed to be our last conversation, but now I am glad I wrote it. Both of us are not the sentimental type, but somehow I felt the urge to write him about how lucky I was to have such wonderful grandparents. It feels good to know that this was the last thing he "heard" from me.
I will be back in a couple of days.

Thank you for your kind words. Right now I help my family to prepare the funeral, but will be back on Monday. Then my plan is to finish the SP-Studio update
and the next livestream will be on Friday the 26th,In the meantime I prepared some things for the new SP-Studio in the background. The mod team can already read about them in our cosy hidden sub forum.

Sorry, no livestream this week...
I really thought I could manage it, but I have huge problems coming back into my regular workflow. Since a lot of extra things are going on right now (funeral, complicated family stuff, problems with the house, work, new coder for the SP-Studio remake, SP-Studio update) I guess I should focus on the important issues first and "get my shit together" before I return to the weekly livestreams.
I'm hoping for next week, but I won't announce anything specific for now because I hate to be this person who does not keep her promise.

Take the time you need! I bet, under these circumstances no-one would mind, if you completely took off some weeks.
