The scenery portrayed was inspired by the beginning of the music video to the song "911" by Lady Gaga. Maybe that was a bit to obscure this time.
My next quiz entry is my re-interpretation of a piece of naive art. Janina was so kind to provide her otherwise discharged monkey. Let's see, if someone can name the painter of the original.
-
Obviously, It's Frida Kahlo. But I dunno the title of the painting.
-
Very good, Eggy! I wasn't sure, if I came close enough.
The original is called "Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird". But in my version there is no hummingbird at all and it's generally quite a free interpretation to begin with, so the exact title doesn't matter that much.

penny dreadful?

No, it's supposed to be the Struwwelpeter.

Probably it's not so well-known in the US ...

Good old Marilyn Monroe

You're right!

Janina just introduced a new found footage effect. When I saw her footage I immediately got the impression thet she didn't wait long enough and missed a critical detail and it seems I was right. If you look closely, you can make out a mysterious creature only a few moments later:
I think this creatures has been spotted before, but somehow I cannot recall its name. Who can?
