The success of the Janie doll toy line led to a series of animated movies, the first one being The Butterfly Princess.

This time, Janie and her dog Arie experiment with dying their hair. For one of them it turns out to be a good decision ...

Watch how Janie accidentally takes part in a beauty contest, only to win its first price: a trip to Florida. Despite first taking the wrong plane, she finally arrives and has the time of her life in the Sunshine State.

One day during her vacation in Florida, after hours of sunbathing, Janie decided to take a walk on the beach.

She liked the sensation of the warm sand under her feet and digged her toes into it. Suddenly she knocked against something hard. It felt too smooth just to be a stone and when she uncovered its surface it reflected the sunlight. She had to use her hands to burrow deeper and what she found came as a total surprise ...

"What a beautiful bottle!" Janie said to herself. "But it's still a bit dusty. Let's see if I can rub off the dirt."

Janie started cleaning the bottle and it instantly looked even better. But suddenly she got the impression that it started to vibrate. Then even the stopper popped out and smoke came out of the bottleneck.

"Oh no, what's happening here?" Janie panicked.

Have patience!

More and more smoke came out of the bottle.

"This can't be real. I must have drunk too many cocktails!" Janie exclaimed.

I didn't say you were wrong, but you'll have to wait how the story goes.

Slowly, a figure began to form from the smoke. It was almost human-like in appearance – apart from the fact that its body was floating above the ground. Only its skin was of a bluish tint and its face was twisted into a terrible grimace.

Janie was frozen in horror in light of this terrible sight.

were you inspired by genie from "Aladdin"?

I based the outward appearance mainly on the Disney genie because I thought he would be quite well-known. But there was also a djinn in "The Thief of Bagdad" that looked a bit similar and may also have inspired Disney. And then there was also a blue djinn in a fantasy sitcom from the sixties that inspired me story-wise...
