Update: SP-Studio Christmas Special 2024

24 presents will be wrapped for you, with daily surprise updates!

For the 16th time I will draw new clothes, places, hairstyles and other objects for this SP-Studio advent calendar. Again all of these updates are free to use and most of the new items will be based on requests from the SP-Studio community. Visit the Wish Voting gallery to comment on your favorite update ideas or to suggest your own.

Day 1: The first update is this festive Santa dress. This is a wish from the wish voting gallery.

Day 2: Feeling a little bit dizzy today?

Day 3: Say hello to this cute little pet snail.

Day 4: An entrance to a school or any public building. This new place was a wish from the SP-Studio community and can be found in the "outdoor backgrounds" category.

Day 5: These fashionable striped gloves / arm warmers will keep you warm during winter. They were a very popular wish from the SP-Studio community. To make it possible to combine them with any color of hands they are a separate item in the “more accessories” category. They match perfectly with the standard hands from the "hands" category.

Day 6: A Steam Deck! Several handheld game consoles were already part of the SP studio, but now PC gamers no longer have to feel left out.

Day 7: This new foreground effect makes it look like your character is behind prison bars. It can be combined with any background.

Day 8: I was asked a lot for more scene hair options, so today's update are these colorful raccoon tails as extra hair pieces.

Day 9: It was about time to add a tasty and healthy salad to the collection of food.

Day 10: Theatre masks (comedy and tragedy) were added as a new shirt motif. You can customize the colors and shading and combine it with any shirt. I thought about adding more symbolic shirt motifs about hobbies / culture. Which would you like to see?

Sorry for being a few hours late with this one. This might happen again, because I have a stressful week. But I promise in the end no day of the Advent Calendar will be skipped.

Day 11: You asked for more realistic noses... And that's why there's not just one, but even four new ones today! Typically, SP-Studio characters don't have noses at all, but they can be very handy for caricatures to increase the recognisability. If they stand out too much, you can adjust the line color so that it blends in better with the skin.

Day 12: These special legs in shape of a ghost tail will be useful for creating all kinds of spirits or djinn characters. This was another wish from the Wish Voting Gallery.

And here it comes...

Day 13: With the new film strip foreground effect, you can present your SP-Studio characters with Hollywood style. As a surprise bonus the drawing is larger than it appears at first glance... This allows you to rotate and move the film strip to create more dynamic images.

Indeed, it also works well as a Polaroid frame.

Nad now day 14: This witch hat was inspired by the broadway musical (and now film) Wicked.

Day 15: As a matching addition to yesterday's witch hat here comes Elphaba's hair from the Wicked film. I splitted it into a short hairstyle and a low ponytail so you can combine the new pieces freely for different looks.

Day 16: The SP-Studio armoury was already piled high with countless blades, but there was no dagger... until now.
