This is Julie D'Aubigny, AKA Mademoiselle La Maupin, a 17th century Opera Singer, and Master Swordfighter, and an altoghether badass, who, when not performing at the Royal Opera in Paris, gallivanted through French countryside in male clothing with her many lovers (both male and female), and fought in duels. During her shennanigans, she had to be personally pardonned by King Louis XIV TWICE. If she can't be considered a celebrity, I don't know who.
