Update: SP-Studio Christmas Special 2021

Welcome to the SP-Studio Christmas Special! Every day from December 1st to December 24th a new surprise update is waiting for you. Last year I took a break because of the relaunch, but now the beloved annual tradition is back. For 24 days I will draw all kinds of new backgrounds, clothes and other objects to give you more possibilities to build your pictures.

And the best part is: YOU can request new items for these updates! Upload them to the Wish Voting gallery and if I like them they will appear there. Then everybody can discuss them. Popular ideas have a high chance to appear in the Christmas Special. But I will also include surprises from older requests which are not in the gallery.

I hope you ejnjoy the updates! Of course I am always happy about feedback, so tell me about your favourites.

Day 1: Let's start with a typical treat related to this season. A gingerbread man has been added to the "objects / food" category.

Day 2: Time to create sea monsters! Tentacles as legs were a wish from the Wish Voting Gallery - and now you can use them in the SP-Studio. You can select two separate colors for them and deactivate the shading if you want to keep it simple. So the suckers are optional.

Day 3: A Sailor Moon inspired costume has been added to the "dresses" category! Of course you can change the colors to make it fit different characters.

Day 4: Two new pairs of boxing shorts will help your characters look more athletic! Onw with stripes, one without. Again this was a wish from the Wish Voting Gallery, which I upated with 16 more of your ideas today.

Day 5: A real PlayStation 5 might be hard to get, but not in the SP-Studio. For today's surprise update I added the console and a controller to the "objects/toys & sports" category.

Day 6: Do you like found footage movies? Now you can recreate their typical home video look in the SP-Studio! Scan lines and a REC overlay have been added as special foreground effects to the "places" category.

Day 7: One wish from the Wish Voting Gallery was more hairstyles for black girls, and so as a start here are some cute braids.

Sorry, I did not want to offend anybody. English is not my native language. The person who asked for this wish used the word "black" and I just copied it. In German "colored" is a racist word and "black" the word they refer to themselves, so I thought it was the same in English. On the other hand we sometimes use the English phrase "PoC" as well, so it is complicated.

But I want to learn. In this case would "more hairstyles for girls of color" be the best solution?

Day 8: Book lovers, this one is for you! I've drawn a library as a new indoor background.

Day 9: Ninja costumes in the style of Mortal Kombat have been added as today's surprise update! Of course you can recolor them.

Day 10: Tasty french fries with a dip of your choice are now prepared for your SP-Studio characters.

Unfortunately it looks like I won't make it today, because we have friends over and it can get late. But I will upload two updates tomorrow to make up for it.

Day 11 & 12: Yesterday I wasn't able to upload in time, but to make up for it you now get four new mouths! I was asked for more mouth shapes with braces. And the other two are different screams.
