PaytonJerryM : I guess I'll find the time to continue the story after Christmas.

The Janie Chronicles

-
Here we go again:
"Don't be afraid! I'm the ghost of the bottle and I won't do you any harm" the mysterious being said with an ambiguous grin. "In fact, I'm very grateful you freed me from my prison as I had been trapped in it for centuries."
Janie still didn't know what to make of this strange situation but her tension decreased so much that she noticed someone was missing.
"For setting me free I'll grant you three -" the ghost started but he couldn't complete his sentence.
"I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I can't see my dog Arie. I wish, he wouldn't have disappeared, again."
-
OOO...this is getting GOOD!
-
"So be it!" said the genie.
"I don't understand, what do you mean by that?" For a short moment Janie became suspicious but then a joyful bark distracted her from her thoughts again. "Oh Arie, there you are!"
By interrupting the genie, Janie had missed out on some very important facts the ghost of the bottle would have told her. A freed genie is obliged to grant three wishes to his rescuer which have to be used very carefully. Too often those wishes turn against the ones who make them. Genies are notorious tricksters after all.
