I'm a big bat fan, though only the Bruce Wayne stuff as I don't read the new comics. Bruce will always be Batman to me, not this Damian kid.

Dude, Damian's never been Batman, he's the current Robin. Dick Grayson (Nightwing) was briefly Batman while Bruce was "dead", but Bruce is back now that the universe has been rebooted.

Oooh, go on then good sir =)

Alrighty, here's a short list of what Bat-fans consider The Essentials.

    • Batman: Year One by Frank Miller (I didn't particularly like it, but a lot of people do and it gives you a good introduction and origin to the characters of Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon. There's also a very faithful animated movie you should check out too.)
    • The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller (an essential to every fan's collection, like it or not. Set in the future with an old Bruce Wayne who returns to take on the cowl once again. It revolutionised the character and molded him into what he is today. Probably the most popular Batman book out there.)
    • The Long Halloween by Jeph Loeb (Gives you the more "detective" side of Batman and features a large cast of villains. It's also a Two-Face origin story. So if you're interested in him, check it out.)
    • Knightfall by various authors (Excited for The Dark Knight Rises? Want to know more about Bane and how much he kicks ass? You bet your sweet ass you do. Famous for the introduction of Bane and Azrael. I haven't read it since I'm waiting for the full Hardcover release in April, but it's available in paperback in 3 separate volumes.)
    • Hush by Jeph Loeb (Again, this has Loeb's tendency to put lots of villains into the story. Introduces Hush and features a wide cast of villains and allies. Jim Lee's art here is probably his best work ever.)

I read the Killing Joke, but I know that get's me crucified as that's THE stereotypical Batman joke.

Not at all, that's a fantastic book. It's the first Batman comic I read too, so there you go.

I could recommend you some essential Batman books, if you want.

Reading Grant Morrison's run on Batman & Robin, and goddamn, Professor Pyg is amazing.

    Anyone else reading the comics?

Calander Man from Arkham City. He's so funny

You've got an odd interpretation of "funny". But Calender Man is pretty cool. Go read Long Halloween and Dark Victory if you like him.

Two-Face, Scarecrow and Riddler are my favourite villains. The Long Halloween is my favourite comic. Under The Red Hood is my favourite movie. Dick Grayson is my favourite Robin. Mark Hamill is my favourite Joker. Damian Wayne is a little shit.

    I think that's about it.

Yes, Akrham City is great! (although I still have a problem with the boss fights, regardless of ho good he one with Mr. Freeze is)

Oh god that Mr. Freeze fight was brilliant, especially on NewGame+.

Oh, and dat gliding and combat system. Unf.

Yeah Bob Dylan was part of the "folk" genre before he converted to electric guitars and stuff.
If you look at some of his older songs, it's just his voice and the acoustic guitar!

You should also listen to KT Tunstall's first album from 2004, she has a lot of folk influence in her singing and guitar playing. I consider her new EP "The Scarlet Tulip EP" to be absolutely classed as Folk music, and probably my favourite of the genre at that. Seriously, check some of it out: My personal favourite song of the EP.

I would suggest a topic like "the internet" instead. Then you could make memes, but also something completly different like an internet addict, WoW players (if there's a difference :D), you could focus on the technical aspects or something about Google/Facebook.

    Regarding movies:
There are many movie genres which might be a good choice. Comedy, Romance, Fantasy, Hollywood blockbusters, your favorite movies as a kid...

Classic films? By that I mean pre-1985 or something like that.

OH FUCK NO. As cool as a person Yoko might be, her so called "art" is bullshit.

Ah, Tchaikovsky's 1812..... Magnificent piece of music.... Ever heard it with cannons? And don't tell me you've got the full version of 9nth symphony! It's the longest music piece ever written, and in my opinion Beethoven's best pece.... He completed it at the end of his life, when he was completely deaf.... Now that's impressive, isn't it? I've got a full Finale on my MP3 player... :awesome:

Yes. The cannons are amazing. Gives hope to me that I can use Medieval weapons as an orchestral instrument if the guitar doesn't work out too well for me.

The 9th is definitely Beethoven's best. And yes, it is pretty amazing considering his deteriorating hearing. Can't get enough of that 2nd movement brah.

4 votes on Classical music? Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoys Mozart or Beethoven.... ;)

I listen to Beethoven's 5th and 9th and Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture daily, although I only voted for Rock and Roll since I thought it was a one-option vote.

I think "People Everyday" by Arrested Development is my all-time favourite hip hop song. I've known it since I was a little kid and it still gives me goosebumps to this day. That intro is immense.

EDIT: Oh my god Jabels I just cracked up at your new avatar.

    Sheeeeit. That's pretty damn good.

    And danke.
