Unfortunately it would make it easier to steal my art. And while I want to help others to be creative and have fun it makes me really sad when people use my drawings without giving me credit. Its extremely rude and disrespectful. When you put years of your life into something and don't ask for anything else in return than to mention your website this hurts a lot. It's not just unfair to me, but also to "real" fan artists who draw everything themselves. Unfortunately I notice many people on DeviantArt and other websites use SP-Studio characters or backgrounds for their own art projects without mentioning sp-studio.de in the descriptions. This is a big problem. I don't want to encourage them by making it even easier to steal all my drawings in high quality vector files.

So even if it will be possible I won't promise yet that I'll actually include this function. Too many bad experiences with art thieves...

I know you had bad experiences with art thieves in the past, but i honestly think you should write at least a warning to people credit your art like you did with the Classic SP-Studio.

While i know that a lot of people used your art without credit, as far as i know, most current South Park fan artists on DeviantArt mainly tend to use references from the official avatar creator and the actual show, yeah, they still occasionally use SP-Studio, but many of them tend to credit it.

I’m not denying that you’ve struggled with art thieves, but i think you should think more before making a tough decision, a SVG export could be useful due to the fact that a lot of South Park newer fans are unable to afford better programs or just can’t draw at all.

But this is up to your word, I’m not forcing you to add a SVG export because I’m just giving constructive criticism if you want to create a more improved version of the SP-Studio.

Yeah, it would be nice.

I also think Janina could implement a color picker in the new version, and an option to save a custom color.

I know the save as SVG image option is not going to be implemented soon, however, it is possible to create an option to save as a transparent PNG image? I mean, the official South Park avatar creator has a "no background" feature and you can save it as transparent PNG, but the official game has less customization and is more limited.

Also, many fans like to edit their own South Park avatars with additional software, but it’s still very hard to find a really good software that is able to remove the entire background without letting some small outlines and not everyone can afford expensive software.

It would be a lot easier for us, don’t you think?

So... it maybe could become a possible update in the future. But not for launch, that's for sure. Unfortunately there is no easy solution for this problem and so other thinhgs are more important now to focus on.

Agreed! The images are in SVG format, I think it would be possible.

However, i don’t mind if this wouldn’t be implemented in the day of the launch, but keep in mind that some fans don’t have enough art skills to create their own South Park avatars and tracing or/and recreating the South Park characters in editing programs over and over again can be pretty exhausting.

Janina, i have a question for you: Is the mobile app going to have South Park stuff?

I’m currently working on a fan series of the show and i got curious to know if you’re either going to keep the South Park stuff from the old version or remove it in the development?

I have two:

Are you going to add more long hairs, Heidi Turner’s hat and Annie Knitts’ hair in the new version?

also, do you guys pretend to revamp the South Park styled avatar by making it look more accurate to how fourth graders look in the show?

Two ideas regarding the blurry hair:

1. There should be an option for your paint tool that's called "hardness". Set it to 100% to avoid blurry edges. But if the picture is very small this might not be enough.

2. A trick I use for more accuracy is to enlarge the picture by at least 200% (not just zooming - change the actual size of the picture). Usually it's easier then to work with the paint tools and they become less blurry. Of course everything else gets a bit blurry, but that's not important because you will change the size back after you are finished.

I hope the New SP-Studio will be an improvement over the old version, however, I’ll miss the classic SP-Studio a lot.

My biggest concern is not SP-Studio, is with South Park fan artists who typically use Adobe Flash to create their artworks, this also means that they’ll have to find another way to draw.

This isn't just a wish list of itens, this is actually a concept that i have for the SP-Studio remake: Custom Poses.

The types of poses the player could make would be: walking, running, arms folded, hands in the hips, holding a item with the arms, etc.

I know it takes a lot of work to make them, but these are just my ideas.

This is my idea:

The game would be an Avatar creator mixed with comic creation, the character customization would include options to change the size and the weight of the characters, and there will also be a feature called "South Park Do it Yourself", where you can import your customizable itens such as hair, backgrounds and clothes that are done by yourself in any graphics editing program to the Custom section, as for the comic strips, there will be many free comic templates.

This game would also have a forum/community.

I don’t know if this is possible, but can you give me an advice to how i can create a South Park dress up game? It won’t be a SP-Studio clone, I promise.

I know, but i also found Gimp way too hard to understand, the tools are confusing and the user interface is very ugly.

But i don’t make pixel art, I prefer Vector art.
