In the main menu? "Search" and your Profile? It looks okay in my Internet Explorer, so perheps It's an issue with a certain version of it. Can you tell me which version you use?

Those are some interesting hobbies. I used to be very interested in history as a kid as well, but when I grew older other things became more important to me. So unfortunatrely I don't know as much as I'd like to know. Old weapons are cool, especially swords. But I only got one chinese sword for my living room, nothing special.

I believe your favorite color is green when I look at this photo

What do you think about the new icon when you got new messages? I made it red. Or is it still too easy to ignore it?
-
It's kind of a guilty pleasure for me. I haven't watched any of the nominated movies yet, I hate the red carpet stuff ("what are you wearing?") and most of the time the show itself isn't that exciting. But I want to see it anyway.
Is anybody else going to watch it?
-
Sure, I want to have everything done before the new community is published :).
It's just a lot of work because there are tons of small things to be changed. -
I decided to watch the Oscars tonight. That means staying awake from 1:00 h to 8:00 am... so I trained a bit by sleeping till 1:00 am today ;). The last show was so bad, I hope it will be better this time with Billy.

Some things I changed now:
- the position of big buttons is slightly higher now
- fixed position of other stuff as well
- added an "upload image" button for the gallery (till now we only had a small text link)
- fixed the profile bug (text was shown too high sometimes)
- new gallery icon next to your nickname (looked different from the other icons)
- new "new message" icon (it's red so you see when you got a new message)
-
I still need some time, so it will be public at about 9 PM (German time ;)). Enjoy you bowling cup!
The new community will be included in the SP-Studio website. So the old menu will be there instead of the current header picture (or above it... I am not sure yet).
Till now there only was one "community" link in the sp-studio.de menu, but I want to split this now in "forum" and "gallery" so you can access them quickly.

As a kid I wanted to become a comic artist for Disney animated movies... after I wanted to got to the circus. When I realized most of them have a pretty boring job (always drawing what others tell you to draw) I decided to study art. I went to the studio of an artist every weekend from the age of 14 to the age of 19 and when I graduated from school (Abitur) I sent my portfolio to the Städel in Frankfurt, a famous university for liberal arts. I was sure they were going to let me in, because this was the only plan I had for my life. They had to!
They did not.
But it wasn't that bad, because this brought me to an academy where I studied "communication design" (I am not sure if that's the right translation). It was the perfect mix between classic art and modern design. I graduated 2007 and like most of us I started to work as a trainee for an advertising agency. It was a very interesting time and I learned a lot. But I realized this stressful job would mean no free time... no time for SP-Studio.de and all the others things I wanted to do. So I decided to try to work as a freelancer for webdesign and illustrations. And that's what I still do today :).
It's risky, because you never know if and how much you are going to earn this month. But you are your own boss and can work at home. I enjoy this ver ymuch.@Viral Monster: This sounds exciting, I wish you luck!
Do you already know a school where you want to go? -

3lvis: I do!
It's a shame I did not know about this movie for several years. Some time ago I had a look at the IMDb "best rated movies of all time" list and noticed it being 1st place. That made me curious. It's a really fascinating movie with great actors and a heartwarming story. I don't know why, but it makes me feel really good... though a lot of tragic things happen.
Highly recommended movie, no matter what genre you prefer!Other favorites include (sorry, I like many movies and cannot decide):
Natural Born Killers and movies by Tarantino and Christopher Nolan. Memento might be my all time favorite, even before Batman. V for Vendetta, Fight Club, Butterfly Effect, Donnie Darko,... I like mindfuck :). That's why I enjoy Korean and Japenese movies very much. Save the green Planet, Symbol, Battle Royal, Oldboy and horror movies like Ju On and Tale of two sisters are my favorites here. Asien movies rock! But I don't watch anime.
I like strange musicals like Little Shop of Horros, the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Dr. Horrible's Sing along Blog.
And some Fantasy stuff, like Highlander, Princess Bride and Lord of the Rings.
Ony of my favorite hobbies is to watch horror / trash movies with a couple of friends (zombies, Troma, gore,... all the good stuff). Chillerama, Braindead or Potrygeist... we have a big collection of funny or bad horror movies.
I can laugh about Mystery Science Theater 3000 (my avatar), South Park, Shrek 2, Kung Pow, Back to the Future (classic!) and Monty Python.Oh boy, I guess it's easier to say what I DON'T like. Usually I don't like romantic comedy, western and drama. When I watch a movie I want to be entertained and not see people suffer ;).

Thank you guys, I don't know what to say
.ViralMonster: Oh, I am not offended by it. But you are right, it was even wore as a little kid. I had eye surgery before going to school because my parents were afraid I would be made fun of. It helped a lot, but especially when I focus on one object (like looking into a camera) you can still notice my little problem. But I don't care, that's why I don't want another surgery.
What's more annoying about it is the fact that I can only watch with one eye at the same time (happens to many crosseyed people). So I can not see 3D... not in movies, not in real life. It's no big disadvantage as long as I don't want to become a professional basketball player, but it's really frustrating when you can't watch 3D movies. It's all blurry for me. That's why I hope this 3D trend stops soon ;). -
Thanks for checking. Then it seems to be a general problem, because I am using Firefox. It's on my list :).
-
Okay, it's ony my list now :).
I have a question: When you look at a profile page of someone else the text on the right appears to be a bit higher than the descriptions on the left. Is this in error from my browser or do you see it too?

I like the idea. I could create an "artists" forum in the Off Topic area. For every SP-Studio unrelated art (including our drawings, paintings, writing, music). What do the others think about it?
-
Sorry I have to correct you again, but you are not supposed to create topics for single pictures. This would end up in big chaos if more members join ;). You can see the rules above:
"Usually you are allowed to create one thread for your edited SP-Studio pictures here."So I changed the title of your topic from "Two-face" to "Jetpack-guys edited pictures".
This is important to know for every mod:
If somebody creates a couple of pictures which fit together (for example many edited superhero pictures) you are allowed to create an extra topic for them. But not for one single picture.
So when the message board opens to the public and you see members creating several topics for single pictures please merge those topics (mod tools) and remind them of this rule. -
You look like your sister
