Yes, we are surrounded by Lego fans... I started to collect Lego minifigures about a month ago.

Right know it is a fixed setting, because I thought it would be useful to see from which corner of the world we come. And so people like me don't have to feel embarrassed if they make mistakes when writing English ;). But if someone doesn't want to have this shown, that's no problem. I can disable it and did so for your profile now.

Here's some information for those of you who come from the old SP-Studio community.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to import your account, though I really tried to get this working. Sorry :(. But the old contests and wish voting pictures will be saved! If I recognize your nickname I will assign your old pictures to your new account. And if you had a user gallery you will get it again. Just give me one or two days.

The new gallery works like the old gallery. You can write comments, upload pictures for contests (right now they haven't started yet) and wish voting wishes. You can vote, though there are no stars yet. I want to change this so the voting results look nicer.

Advantages of the new phpBB gallery:

• Better protection from spambots and cheaters with multiple accounts.
  You need a valid e-mail address to complete registration for the message board. Additionaly IP-Adresses can be blocked and when we check them the forum tells if there is another user with the same IP. And names of the uploaders can be hidden during the voting in contests, so it's fairer.
• Easier to manage
  Now moderators can help me to approve images. The gallery offers extra CONTEST albums: I set a time when the voting should start and end and everything happens automatically. Uploading multiple images at the same time is easy now. And I can assign different permissions and settings (for example how to sort pictures) to every gallery album. The whole software is easier to handle.
• Connected to the Forum
  When you look at a gallery picture you see the profile of the uploader and can copy a code to paste it in a board entry. When you click on a user you see his latest pictures. When you reply to a topic you can include a picture from your personal album easily. And most important: Only one account is needed.
• Less bugs
  We had this big problem with pictures apperaing in the wrong album. This most likely won't happen here. Which means less extra work.

The Animal contest will be moved to this gallery as well. Most of you had already voted, so I think I will use the result from the old gallery.

Please save your pictures from the old gallery (HERE) yourself, unfortunately there was no way to import them.
Like in the old gallery you have to earn your own user gallery by winning contests. But there are some small changes compared to the old user galleries. Back then you were limited to a certain amount of webspace. Now you have a fix number of pictures you can upload. And now uploads for contests and wish voting do not limit your uploads for your user gallery.

It was pretty good. Sometimes a bit too much, though I love mindfuck movies about alternate realitys and stuff like this. But they managed to the bring it to a good ending. It's worth watching.

After a whole week of work it's done: The new SP-Studio.de community is finally online. And I hope you like it!

There's a new gallery, but it works like the old one: Everybody can comment pictures, but you have to register to upload pictures. The monthly contests will continue and you will be able to suggest new SP-Studio items in the wish voting area. If you score high in contests you might even earn your own user gallery.

But the most important change is the new forum which is connected to the gallery. Here you can ask for help if you have a question regarding SP-Studio. You can show your SP-Studio pictures in the "SP-Studio art" forums. No matter if you have a gallery or not, you can upload them somewhere else and link to them. Or you can just talk to other SP-Studio fans in the "Off Topic" area. Say hello in the Who are you? forum.

For a long time I did not want to have a forum, because I do not have the time to watch after it. I am glad several community members decided to help me! The moderators (= green names) will always be there for you when I am not around.

Some things aren't finished yet, especially in the gallery. For example I need to assign user groups for the old contest winners and upload the contests and wish voting pictures from the old gallery. But this will happen soon, thank you for your patience.

Please follow our board rules:

• No illegal or adult content (like warez or pornographic pictures).
• No spam please. This is no chatroom, so think about what you are writing before you are writing.
• Read first. Only open a new topic after you searched for an existing one and read the board rules.
• No annoying font style. Use the regular font size unless you have something really important to say. If you want to use another color for long text please make sure it does not hurt our eyes.
• Be friendly. If somebody insults you, you can inform the moderators or admin. We do not censor bad words, but we want you to get along with each other.
• Show respect for the work of others. Do not steal images, always give credit to the person who created them.
• Listen to the moderators. If they remind you to follow the rules you should not ignore them, becasue then you might end up banned. And banned members can never come back.
• Multiple accounts by the same person are a reason for an instant ban. So don't even try it.
• Try to write in English please. We can only help you if we understand you. This message board is visited by people from around the world, so it's best to talk English.
• Ask whenever you have a question about the forum rules. We have a whole team of moderators willing to help you. Feel at home!

Several design changes made to the gallery (thumbnail pages & image view). For example the images are better centered now and I deleted some not so important information. The gallery button in the main menu is on the left now, next to the one for the message board index.

Now I create the art forum for the off topic area .

Oh, the Room...

I saw some really bad low budget horror movies. "Zombie attack - museum of the dead" might be the worst. Or "Cannibal Terror".

And I remember this really boring Japenese movie called "Japanese Hell". It starts off with a bunch of funny looking monsters in Hell. But then most of it turns into a really bad religious drama. It's hard not to fall asleep. And this movie is forbidden in Germany! That's even more than being censored or being on the index. There are tons of movies more brutal than this one, so I always wondered how this happened. Maybe they saw it and wanted to protect mankind because it was SO bad...

Now I moved the quick reply box under the arrows. And the arrors are way bigger now :).

In the main menu? "Search" and your Profile? It looks okay in my Internet Explorer, so perheps It's an issue with a certain version of it. Can you tell me which version you use?

Those are some interesting hobbies. I used to be very interested in history as a kid as well, but when I grew older other things became more important to me. So unfortunatrely I don't know as much as I'd like to know. Old weapons are cool, especially swords. But I only got one chinese sword for my living room, nothing special.

What do you think about the new icon when you got new messages? I made it red. Or is it still too easy to ignore it?

It's kind of a guilty pleasure for me. I haven't watched any of the nominated movies yet, I hate the red carpet stuff ("what are you wearing?") and most of the time the show itself isn't that exciting. But I want to see it anyway.

Is anybody else going to watch it?

Sure, I want to have everything done before the new community is published :).
It's just a lot of work because there are tons of small things to be changed.

I decided to watch the Oscars tonight. That means staying awake from 1:00 h to 8:00 am... so I trained a bit by sleeping till 1:00 am today ;). The last show was so bad, I hope it will be better this time with Billy.

Some things I changed now:

• the position of big buttons is slightly higher now
• fixed position of other stuff as well
• added an "upload image" button for the gallery (till now we only had a small text link)
• fixed the profile bug (text was shown too high sometimes)
• new gallery icon next to your nickname (looked different from the other icons)
• new "new message" icon (it's red so you see when you got a new message)

I still need some time, so it will be public at about 9 PM (German time ;)). Enjoy you bowling cup!

The new community will be included in the SP-Studio website. So the old menu will be there instead of the current header picture (or above it... I am not sure yet).

Till now there only was one "community" link in the sp-studio.de menu, but I want to split this now in "forum" and "gallery" so you can access them quickly.
