Pictures must be smaller than 700x700 pixel, because we have no image resizer yet. They would mess up the board design ;). So try to resize the picture before you include it in your post.

I started to recreate the contest winner groups now, which means you will be able to upload as many pictures as before (depending on your won contests). I added a list in the first post of this topic.

@ADePALMA1251: Unfortunately I have to save the images one by one from the old gallery too. There is no easy import... So I do this with the Wish Voting and contest pictures (which are a lot ;)), but it would be a big help if you could move your "user gallery" pictures yourself. You can upload multiple pictures at once. Sorry, but it would take me the same amount of time as you.

Hmm... that's strange, I set it to 100.
Did it change at from 20 to 32 now? Or was the limit already at 32 characters before I made the changes?

That's because I haven't created the contest winner groups yet. I will do this today or tomorrow, it's just a lot of (boring ;)) work, because I have to check every member to know how much space he had won for the old gallery... and create single groups for every possible number. When this is done you will be able to upload as many pictures as you were able before.

Up to 100 characters should work now for image titles, but this is REALLY long... if it blows the layout of the page I will have to change it again. So if you upload a picture with a long title please check if it looks alright.

I never tried. The good thing with trains is they stop every 5 or 10 minutes (the ones I use most of the time). But when you are on a plane there is no way to get off early when you start feeling bad. I am not afraid of a plane crash, but being stuck there scares me as hell ;).

Usually I can use the subway, but longer distances are difficult. To visit my familiy I have to drive 1/2 hour per train... that's no long distcance, but I need one or two breaks to handle it. It's very annoying, because I am stuck here and cannot visit friends who live on the other side of the country. I don't get sick with my stomach, but really dizzy and that leads to cardiovascular problems. It's even worse with cars and busses. The last time I was on a bus I had a blackout... so I go everywhere by train now, because that's at least a bit better.

I agree with Caribou. I just ignore people like Justin Bieber, but they did nothing to deserve my hatred. It's easy to avoid them and they don't harm anybody. But maybe that's just because I never listen to the radio ;). I wouldn't recognize a single song of him.

When it comes to media I hate casting shows. Most of them are so dumb and inhuman, because they only want to make fun of the candidates. "German Idol" (it's called "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" here) is worst, especially because of its host.

Other things I hate: Cheese and alcohol (I never drink). Driving (motion sickness). And the usual stuff (prejudices / animal cruelty / unfairness / ignorance / extremists).

Thanks :). I always loved pencils, because you can do so much with this simple tool. But I wish I'd be more patient, because I admire artsits who draw photorealistic pictures and sit in front of them for weeks.

Right know it is a fixed setting, because I thought it would be useful to see from which corner of the world we come. And so people like me don't have to feel embarrassed if they make mistakes when writing English ;). But if someone doesn't want to have this shown, that's no problem. Here's some information for those of you who come from the old SP-Studio community.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to import your account, though I really tried to get this working. Sorry :(. But the old contests and wish voting pictures will be saved! If I recognize your nickname I will assign your old pictures to your new account. And if you had a user gallery you will get it again. Just give me one or two days.

The new gallery works like the old gallery. You can write comments, upload pictures for contests (right now they haven't started yet) and wish voting wishes. You can vote, though there are no stars yet. I want to change this so the voting results look nicer.

Advantages of the new phpBB gallery:

Better protection from spambots and cheaters with multiple accounts.
You need a valid e-mail address to complete registration for the message board. Additionaly IP-Adresses can be blocked and when we check them the forum tells if there is another user with the same IP. And names of the uploaders can be hidden during the voting in contests, so it's fairer.
Easier to manage
Now moderators can help me to approve images. The gallery offers extra CONTEST albums: I set a time when the voting should start and end and everything happens automatically. Uploading multiple images at the same time is easy now. And I can assign different permissions and settings (for example how to sort pictures) to every gallery album. The whole software is easier to handle.
Connected to the Forum
When you look at a gallery picture you see the profile of the uploader and can copy a code to paste it in a board entry. When you click on a user you see his latest pictures. When you reply to a topic you can include a picture from your personal album easily. And most important: Only one account is needed.
Less bugs
We had this big problem with pictures apperaing in the wrong album. This most likely won't happen here. Which means less extra work.

The Animal contest will be moved to this gallery as well. Most of you had already voted, so I think I will use the result from the old gallery.

Please save your pictures from the old gallery (HERE) yourself, unfortunately there was no way to import them.
Like in the old gallery you have to earn your own user gallery by winning contests. But there are some small changes compared to the old user galleries. Back then you were limited to a certain amount of webspace. Now you have a fix number of pictures you can upload. And now uploads for contests and wish voting do not limit your uploads for your user gallery.

After a whole week of work it's done: The new SP-Studio.de community is finally online. And I hope you like it!

There's a new gallery, but it works like the old one: Everybody can comment pictures, but you have to register to upload pictures. The monthly contests will continue and you will be able to suggest new SP-Studio items in the wish voting area. If you score high in contests you might even earn your own user gallery.

But the most important change is the new forum which is connected to the gallery. Here you can ask for help if you have a question regarding SP-Studio. You can show your SP-Studio pictures in the "SP-Studio art" forums. No matter if you have a gallery or not, you can upload them somewhere else and link to them. Or you can just talk to other SP-Studio fans in the "Off Topic" area. Say hello in the Who are you? forum.

For a long time I did not want to have a forum, because I do not have the time to watch after it. I am glad several community members decided to help me! The moderators (= green names) will always be there for you when I am not around.

Some things aren't finished yet, especially in the gallery. For example I need to assign user groups for the old contest winners and upload the contests and wish voting pictures from the old gallery. But this will happen soon, thank you for your patience.

Please follow our board rules:

No illegal or adult content (like warez or pornographic pictures).
No spam please. This is no chatroom, so think about what you are writing before you are writing.
Read first. Only open a new topic after you searched for an existing one and read the board rules.
No annoying font style. Use the regular font size unless you have something really important to say. If you want to use another color for long text please make sure it does not hurt our eyes.
Be friendly. If somebody insults you, you can inform the moderators or admin. We do not censor bad words, but we want you to get along with each other.
Show respect for the work of others. Do not steal images, always give credit to the person who created them.
Listen to the moderators. If they remind you to follow the rules you should not ignore them, becasue then you might end up banned. And banned members can never come back.
Multiple accounts by the same person are a reason for an instant ban. So don't even try it.
Try to write in English please. We can only help you if we understand you. This message board is visited by people from around the world, so it's best to talk English.
Ask whenever you have a question about the forum rules. We have a whole team of moderators willing to help you. Feel at home!
