my tip don't upload the contest in youre gallery exept it's a failed desing befor the voting starts.
It's realy annoying to see that people can steal from youre pic or rate it down because they already know it

I would even suggest: Upload it to your gallery when the voting is OVER. Because the voting will be a bit different from the old gallery. You names won't appear next to your pictures, so nobody knows who did them. Of course it is not forbidden to tell which picture is yours, but I think it will be fairer this way for everbody. In the old gallery some complained about being voted down because they already won in the past.

I can see that the new uploading system just uploads the file and gives no option to give a title or to make a description...
Then I understand that the name of the file should be the title of the picture, isn't it?

No, you can change the name of the title if you want

Go HERE and click on the button "upload image". Choose a file from your computer. In the next step you can enter a name and description. So it's just spliited into two steps now, that's the difference :).

33 actually, but I think 3 of them have nothing to do with the topic...

The voting starts at midnight after Thursday (March15th). This is the first contest in this new gallery, so there might be strange things happening... but I will be online to fix it if it doesn't work like it should. For example the standard setting is you are allowed to rate but not to comment the picture during the contest. I will try to change this.
Let's just hope everything works :).

I submitted a picture, but Im not happy with it, well lets see...

the worst thing about the contest is the "new" voting funktion. I really miss the 5 stars. I hope everybody knows how to vote so far.

I am working on changing the voting system back to stars till Friday. It's very complicated for me, because I have to edit code I don't understand - but perhaps I can get it working ;). It's worth a try.

If everything works like it should you can not see the names of the uploaders yet.
Right now you cannot comment on contest entrys before the contest ends. I haven't managed to change this yet, but I am still trying...

It's good to hide the author and even the current puntuation of the picture, but I think that the description should be shown (but moderated to erase clues about the identity of the author). It may help to understand the picture.

I also should put the rating and comments upwards and the image url and image BBcode at the bottom because they are less useful.

And yes... unsurprisingly... a Joker appeared...
