SP-Studio picture contests

From now on I will use this thread to collect all news regarding the monthly SP-Studio contests in one place.

THE RULES

1. CREATE a SP-Studio picture about the topic of the month
   
2. UPLOAD your unedited picture until the 20th
   
3. VOTING starts on the 21st
4. THE WINNERS are announced at the start of the next month

Rules for pictures: You are only allowed to use the SP-Studio, so do not edit with additional software (no cutting, drawing or filters). Don’t resize your picture. Of course it must be your own creation and hateful content is not allowed. Pick a topic which does not relate to ongoing wars or similar political conflicts. Also avoid tasteless pictures about real life crimes.

Rules for uploads: When you upload your picture on the contest page, please add a fitting TITLE and your NAME! Use the same name for all your uploads. Names like anonymous, idk or me are not allowed. Too many use them.

Rules for voting: Vote for good loking pictures which use the SP-Studio in a creative way. Do not vote for a picture just because you like the topic (for example if it's showing a celebrity you like). Do not tell your friends to vote for you, because this is no popularity contest.

Jury members are not allowed to talk about what their pictures are before the voting phase is over. Jury votes count x2,5.

As it is tradition let's look back at the past 12 months. Pick an event like a big film release, a celebrity death, a hyped product or a funny viral news story. Upload your SP-Studio picture until January 20th and make sure to read the rules first.

The upload phase is already over, but the voting runs until January 31st. Visit the contest page to vote!

Think of a fictional character you like and recreate it in the SP-Studio. It can be from a film, show, game, book, cartoon,... even mascots count. It can be human or an animal or monster. Your own OCs and real people do NOT count.

This new contest topic was suggested in the topic poll and I thought it might be a good choice for the many new faces who discovered the SP-Studio last month. You can pick any fictional character, which makes it really easy.

This is the third win for Hal Abarda, and the competition was a REALLY tough one this time. You can all be proud of yourselves, even if you did not make it to the Top5.

From Odysseus to Odin… Base your picture on a story, character or creature from old legends. Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Norse, Chinese, Japanese, Mayan… there is a lot to choose from!

It doesn’t matter where the mythology comes from, as long as it is old enough. The stories should be about 2.000 years old (or older). So the Bible and the Odyssey would count, but Journey to the West or the legend of King Arthur would not. Any Gods count, because mythology was usually connected to religion. Modern interpretations / OCs are allowed as well (like the videogame Hades or Disney’s Hercules).

You can think of this contest topic as a companion piece to the LEGENDS & FAIRY TALES contest from last fall.
