Update: SP-Studio Christmas Special 2025

Prepare for 24 days full of SP-Studio surprise updates!

The 17th annual Christmas Special has started and the advent calendar is full of new clothes, hairstyles and other items for your characters. Most of them will be based on requests from the SP-Studio community. Visit the Wish Voting gallery to discuss your favorite update ideas or to upload your own. As usual, all SP-Studio updates are available completely free of charge. But a nice comment in return always cheers me up.

Day 1: The weather outside may be chilly, so how about a hot chili? This new chili pepper can be found in the "food objects" category, but it also makes a great shirt motif for all of you who enjoy their meals spicy.

Day 2: There were a number of requests for a cardboard box that can be worn over the head. So it was added to the hats category today! Of course you can also spin it to let your character stand in the box. Use it to dress up as your own present or to hide from your family.

Day 3: Knock knock. With this new foreground effect it looks like your character is standing behind an open door. You can move it and combine it with any background to create interesting scenes.

Day 4: A new shirt! There were already turtlenecks in the SP Studio, but until now none of them covered the mouth. This one does. It was another popular Wish Voting request. And don't worry if you don't like the zipper - you can easily hide it by recoloring it and deactivating shading.

Day 5: For the professional medical treatment of your characters, there is now a whole set of differently shaped adhesive bandages available. All sticky plasters can be recolored and the shading can be removed to make them work better with different skin colors.

Day 6: This new disco ball sparkles in every color you can imagine!

Day 7: You asked for platform shoes and here they are! The shading can be turned off and of course they can be recolored. If you prefer high boots I recommend to combine them with the laced boots by using the "lock" button.

Day 8: Remember the disco ball from two days ago? It's got company! This new indoor background with disco lights fits it perfectly.

Day 9: Open wide... For everyone who, like me, is eagerly awaiting the Stranger Things finale, I have drawn a Demogorgon mouth as today's surprise.

Day 10: A checkered tie was added today because it was a popular request from the Wish Voting Gallery.

Day 11: Step inside this shiny new elevator! This background wasn't requested by the community, but I guess I really like Electric Callboy's “Elevator Operator” song.

Day 12: This checkered belt is perfect for all of you who liked the pattern from two days ago but don't wear ties.

Day 13: Serve delicious Japanese food in this new bento box!

Day 14: Today's surprise is a neutral basketball jersey! You can recolor it and add text if you want to recreate specific teams.

Day 15: A bubble of bubblegum! This rather simple-to-draw request from the SP-Studio community was chosen for today because I accidentally deleted the item I had originally planned, after already spending over an hour working on it.

Day 16: Do you feel like setting something on fire today? This portable campfire will keep your SP-Studio characters warm from now on.

By the way: This was the item I accidentally deleted yesterday. And I am relieved that my second drawing looks better than my first. If something goes wrong, you should try again quickly.

Day 17: Two new body types with skin conditions were added today! I was asked about representation for Vitiligo and other pigmentation disorders for a a long time. The difficult thing about including this wish was that every variation looks different. But I hope this will be a good start. There will be two more on another day during this Christmas special!

Day 18: The last update was quite popular, so here comes the second part: Two more vartations for skin conditions / vitiligo.

Day 19: For all aspiring witches, there is a cauldron hidden behind this door of the Advent calendar! Be careful what you're brewing with it.

Sorry for the delay with this update, it was my last day before my Christmas vacation and I had to work late.
