    Freude, schöner Götterfunken,
    Tochter aus Elysium!
    Wir betreten feuertrunken,
    Himmlische dein Heiligtum!
    Deine zauber binden wieder
    Was die Mode streng geteilt;
    Alle Menschen werden Brüder,
    Wo dein saftner Flügel weilt!

  • Atreyu and the dragon, but this one changes its name depending on the country: Fujur, Fuchur, Falkor...

    (Hi to the 'oldtimers' of the forum; I'm still alive!).:wave:

    You're right about the names. - And I didn't know about the different names for Fuchur. I did some research and it seems the German author of the original story based the name on the Japanese word for "good luck dragon". Then the Spanish variant is a phonetic approximation of the German one, while in Italian a version closer to the Japanese one was chosen. In English a completely different name was chosen, because it sounded to much like "fuck you".

  • In Polish we have the "Falcor" version.

  • To me "Falcor" sounds strange. It reminds me of a falcon and Falcor doesn't look like a bird at all but rather like a dog. Maybe something like "Retrievor" would have been more fitting.

  • Now that I see the other Fraggles it seems I misinterpreted the protrusions on Red's head. I believed them to be some sort of fur-covered antennae but they simply seem to be some kind of bunches.
