Just watched the first episode of season three. I loved the way they played around with
the ways that Sherlock could have survived the jump from the rooftop. Each time it seems like it was the real thing, making you think, "Oh, that's a bit lame" - and then it cuts to another character mocking how implausible that idea is.
And then, of course, when you find out how he really
pulled it off, you want to stand up and applaud.
It's weird... I've always *sort of* liked Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat before (I thought The League of Gentlemen
were often great but just as often a bit cringeworthy, and the new Doctor Who
flits between mildly entertaining and downright unwatchable) but they've really nailed it with this one. Every episode up till now has been excellent in just about every way.
