Contest Leaderboard - A Nerdy Numbers Thread

Here's an at-a-glance guide to who's finished where from all the previous contests, and for the sake of getting meta I've added a ranking system. 1st place gets five points, 2nd gets four, 3rd gets three, 4th gets two and 5th place gets one point. Of course, this system heavily favours users who have entered many competitions, so in the interest of fairness, as of July 16th 2015 the list also shows a comparison of how many contests each user has entered, along with their average-points-per-contest score. The three highest averages under this system are marked in gold, silver and bronze respectively.

*NOTE - As of 07/2013, users who were only ever active on the old site and never signed up for this one are marked in grey text.

NOTE 2 - As of 01/2014, due to the amount of users on the list, the text was beginning to get unreadably small. For this reason, the list now shows only users with five points or more (ie. those who have either won a contest or placed in the top four at least twice).

Oh, ADePALMA should definitely win this contest (not because it's overdue, but because his entry is the absolute best in the contest imo). That makes me really upset that I got to first place before him, considering how little contests I've actually entered.

Nice, Caribou. Now people with galleries have something to fight for in contests.

And yes, ADePALMA1251 deserves to come first. His pictures in his gallery are amazing, and his picture for this contest is in my opinion, his best of all the contests he's entered.

Regarding the inclusion of ties after the latest contest, I think there basically two options:

a) Both users get the full amount of points for that position, ie. Till and I would both get five points for coming joint first, and bellaXraven and Ildorf would get four each for coming joint second in a previous contest.

b) We average out the points from the two positions, ie. Till and I would get four and a half points each, and bellaXraven and Ildorf get three and a half.

I guess that's a unanimous "no preference" then. I've tossed a coin, we're going with A.

If you can't resolve the ties (with the number of highest ratings, as in Eurovision), its fairer the 'B' option.
You must always distribute the same number of points:
5+4+3+2+1= 15 points.
One tie:
5+5+3+2+1=16 points: then this contest is better rated than the previous one.
Two ties:
5+5+4+4+1=18 points
Triple and double tie:
5+5+5+2+2=19 points

The better: resolving the ties.

To mess all a little bit: Make a 'regularity score' by dividing the score by the number of participations...

It would've been sweet if people said what they preferred before I redid the last four charts. But if people want there to be fifteen points only for each contest, I'm happy to go with that. I asked, nobody replied, I tossed a coin.
