Image Description

Roccoco Period is my favourite when it comes to fashion, those exquisite silks, embroideries and frills of Louis XV era clothing, those fancy Tricornes, Jousteaucorpes, cravats, Corsets and Gowns, and powdered wigs are so delightfully foppish, extravagant and whimsical, and yet elegant and intricate, I just love it. Here we have a typical aristocratic ensemble of a wealthy gentleman from those good old times, including a Gold lined jacket with ornate epaulettes, Waistcoat and matching Culottes (Short Pants), White silk cravat, stockings (Yes, true manly men of the 18th century were wearing stockings!), Leather belt and shoes with golden buckles, and fine addons, like cockaded tricorne decorated with Ostrich Plumes, a Dress Sword with a baldric, white silk gloves, and powdered wig, styled according to the highest of fashions straight from Versailles.
