They're creatures from the Game of Thrones TV show, some sort of Ice Elves who hate humans and are terribly alien. They're not even actually undeads, although they "make" undeads. Unless the TV show went wild with that part of the story mythology in its adaptation, I dropped it after the seconds season.

I've only seen the first three seasons so far and it's not terribly clear if the White Walkers are actually undead or not. His horse definitely is, though, so I reckon this picture still counts.

In 'Game of Thrones', the northerners believe that the Others (the White Walkers) are "cold dead things, hating all life", or so it says the Old Nan.

On the other hand, the author GRR Martin says in an interview that they are not dead.

Spoiler of the 4rd season:

So, being believed to be dead by the northern folklore, the picture should be accepted. However they are relate to the undead as they create undeads because the people they kill are converted into wights.

The horse is definitely dead. :D

The horse alone makes it legit. We know they create undead, and that's essentially necromancy. Janina said in the main thread that necromancers are allowed as long as the undead creature is partially shown.

And yeah, in the scene from the show that this is inspired by, something had torn that horse's throat right off but it was still basically walking along doing Standard Horse Stuff.
