In a nutshell, It would be good if surcoat over the armor didn't have that cross, and it could be colourable. The cross, and maybe other heraldic symbols (Dragons, Rampant Lions, Fleur-De-Lis, etc), could be added as Shirt Motifs, also with customized colour. The same thing would be applied for the shield.
It would be useful in making a medieval knight with custom armor, not only a crusader....
And Yes, the guy in the armor is me, in SPS style.
