I prefer simple drawings with good resemblance than more sophisticated ones with forced parts on them.
But Janina drew this hairstyle to specifically resemble this character - and since it covers the whole face, there's no way you could use this hairstyle and not
have it be a good resemblance to Sadako.
Apart from the hair, there's only the background, the body and the dress. That's four parts in total, none of them moved at all. To me that seems more like laziness than deliberate minimalism.
(And I don't remember this character ever being in a graveyard in either version of the film anyway - if it was supposed to be a generic, made-up yūrei that would be fine, but the description says it's from the movie, so having her standing by a well or crawling from a TV set would be much more appropriate as a background.)
But I'm not slagging off the picture, just saying I'm surprised it finished so high. I mean, it finished above yours, Strider, as well as ADePALMA1215's and BramMetBakkebaard's... all of which I'd say were much more creative and interesting to look at than this.
